All the pruning we were planning to have finished by July, we absolutely definitely finish during August. Well mulch all the prunings to put some organic matter back into the soil, make sure the grass in the mid-rows is closely mown and keep an eye on the rain gauge and soil moisture. The young Pinot Gris vines on the bottom block well leave till the first week of September to prune, to help delay their budburst till after potential frosts.
