Brook Eden's new offspring

Water's_Edge_Pinot At a head-wetting ceremony today, (well it did rain) we welcomed Water’s Edge to the Brook Eden family of wines.

The Water’s Edge label is our commitment to environmentally sustainable farming, with $1 from the sale of every bottle being donated to the Tasmanian Landcare fund, for use in their stream-side and land rehabilitation projects.

Water’s Edge is made from the fruit of hand picked vines growing beside our wetland (hence the name) and is crafted to be an early drinking style of wine. The first one we’ve made is a Pinot Noir from the 2008 vintage.

This Pinot has a concentrated nose of dusty plums, chocolate and spice and a palate which is soft, supple, with masses of up-front dark berry flavour, balanced with a lively touch of acid, making it a delight to drink right now.

Vintage Club members who have requested the December and May tasting packs have already had a sneak preview of the Water’s Edge Pinot. Members who have requested just the single pack per year, will receive a bottle in their April/May tasting pack.
